Plainfield Ponderings - Scripture Meditations
Hello! I'm Allen Greeley and I love thinking and meditating on Scripture. Another word for it, which we don't use very often, is pondering. When the mother of Jesus heard the shepherds retell the vision of the angels celebratory singing; the Scripture says, "Mary treasured up all these things, pondering them in her heart" (Luke 2:19). That alone is my goal with this podcast. I want us to treasure in our hearts what we hear from God and ponder it. It would be an honor to have you listen in and ponder with me. To God be the glory!

Thanksgiving Week Psalms - 136, 145
Ponder with me two more Psalms of Thanksgiving! These 2 will be our last for the week. Psalm 136 is the one of the most repetitious Psalms in the book. God's "steadfast love" is repeated 26 times - in every verse of the Psalm! I'll try to define the term before reading this beautiful Psalm. What a profound word! Finally, we'll read Psalm 145 which is about the greatness of God. His provision and His power are obvious things to focus on, but as the Psalm will point out, He's also great because of His care for the lowly. The people we tend to forget about, God does not. To God be the glory!
